Adhesives
Sylmasta supply epoxy adhesives, methacrylate adhesives and cyanoacrylate superglues. They offer outstanding durability and create high-strength bonds between materials including metal, ceramic, wood, plastics and composites. Sylmasta adhesives are easy-to-use and come with different cure times and purposes to suit specific applications.
Epoxy adhesives provide excellent adhesion to metals and rigid substrates such as metals, thermoset plastics, composites, wood and ceramics. They provide durable bonds which are resistant to shock and chemical attack, and have very low shrinkage.
Rapid 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesives sets almost-clear for reduced visibility glue lines. Metal Bond Rapid 5 Minute sets grey for seamless metal repair. it is thicker than Rapid 5 Minute for filling and sealing sealing cracks and gaps in pipes, tanks, engines and other metal parts.
Both epoxy adhesives have a 5-minute work time, offering long enough to accurately assemble parts before bonding takes place.
AllWeld 530 is a methacrylate adhesive. It adheres to hard-to-bond substrates and produces tough, flexible bonds with no surface preparation. AllWeld 530 provides exceptional shear and peel strength, high impact resistance and excellent environmental resistance.
There are three grades of Sylmasta Cyanoacrylate Superglue with different viscosities. They cure almost instantly for fast repairs and have a specialist formulation, enabling them to bond to difficult substrates in lower humidity situations.
Epoxy adhesive with a 5-minute work time and 30-minute functional cure which bonds to a range of materials including ceramic, brick, concrete, metal and most hard plastics. It sets almost transparent with bond lines under 2mm thick for a seamless repair.

Metal Bond Rapid 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive
Epoxy adhesive specifically formulated for use with metal, including setting dark-grey for blending. Its additional thickness enables it to be used for gap filling and its unique thrixotropic formulation means it does not drip or run when applied to vertical surfaces.
Initial Cure: 3-5 minutes

AllWeld 530 7 Minute Methacrylate Adhesive
Methacrylate adhesive for adhesion to hard-to-bond materials including engineered plastics, advanced composites and exotic metals. It has a work time of 7 minutes and reaches handling strength in 12 minutes for load bearing bonds quickly.

Bond Line Thickness: 4mm

CA3 Penetrating Cyanoacrylate Superglue
Low viscosity, surface insensitive cyanoacrylate superglue as thin as water which penetrates porous surfaces and flows easily into small, hard-to-access areas. Just one drop will wick into joints between parts, permanently bonding them together.
Cure Time: 3–40 seconds, dependent on substrate
Viscosity: 2-6cps

CAE120 Multipurpose Cyanoacrylate Superglue
Medium viscosity cyanoacrylate superglue for general use. It forms instant bonds when sticking plastics, metal, porcelain, fine china, ceramics, jewellery and other materials, with a cure time of 3 seconds or less on non-absorbent surfaces.

CAE1500 High Viscosity Cyanoacrylate Superglue
High viscosity cyanoacrylate superglue used to fill gaps and in applications where additional bonding time is desired. Cure time on steel is 25 to 40 seconds, offering a small window to adjust parts before bonding takes place.

Viscosity: 1250-1850cps
Colour When Set: Clear
Accelerates the cure time of any grade of Sylmasta Cyanoacrylate Superglue. It enables rapid adhesion between otherwise slower-to-bond substrates, and prevents porous surfaces absorbing lower viscosity superglues. Activator is available in 50ml bottles for application with a brush or 200ml aerosol for directly spraying onto parts requiring bonding.
