Sylmasta CAE120 Multipurpose Superglue is a medium viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive for general use. It forms instant bonds when sticking plastics, metal, porcelain, fine china, ceramics, jewellery and other materials, with a cure time of 3 seconds or less on non-absorbent surfaces.
CAE120 Superglue is used in repair and restoration, assembly, kit building and model making applications. The cyanoacrylate formulation of CAE120 Superglue enables it to bond difficult substrates in lower humidity situations.
When used with porous materials including wood, fabric and paper, CAE1500 Superglue has a cure time of less than one second.
It will cure in under 2 seconds on balsa and nitrile rubber. Cure speed on neoprene and EPDM is 3 seconds. Cure speed on PVC is 3–10 seconds, steel 10–20 seconds and polycarbonate 10–40 seconds. For specific cure times based on substrate, please see the Technical Data Sheet.
CAE120 Superglue sets clear and has a softening point of approximately 130°C. It achieves a full cure in 24 hours and is available in 20g or 500g bottles.
Ultra-Fine Nozzles can be attached to the 20g bottle for greater control, applying drops of superglue as small as 0.5mm to create cleaner, neater glue lines. Please contact Sylmasta for more information on Ultra-Fine Nozzles.
Sylmasta CAE120 Superglue is effective on surfaces including plastic, wood, rubber, porcelain, fine china, ceramics and jewellery. Parts requiring repair are held together whilst the superglue bonds, based on the cure time for the substrate.
To make an instant bond using CAE120 Superglue with non-absorbent materials, Superglue Activator is applied on top of the cyanoacrylate adhesive. Activator acts as an accelerator for the cure time of the superglue.

The higher viscosity of CAE1500 gives additional bonding time when used with non-absorbent materials; 5–10 seconds on PVC plastic and 25–40 seconds on steel, for example. CAE1500 is also more suitable for gap filling.

Accelerates the cure time of any grade of Sylmasta Cyanoacrylate Superglue. It enables rapid adhesion between otherwise slower-to-bond substrates, and prevents porous surfaces absorbing lower viscosity superglues. Activator is available in 50ml bottles for application with a brush or 200ml aerosol for directly spraying onto parts requiring bonding.
